We've made it through the first week! Here are some highlights...
James was born Monday, July 18th at 2:48p after about 12 hours of labor.
He was born 7 pounds, 15 ounces and 20.4 inches long. And super happy about being weighed.
After 2 agonizing hours of waiting, the grandparents met James.

James thought very highly of the whole meet and greet process.

I found my tongue! |
And then we made the expedition to recovery.

The next day was a learning process, so we don't have many pictures, but Day 3 we got to go home, so there were plenty of pictures :)

While in the hospital, James' bilirubin score was pretty high (test for jaundice), so we had a doctor appointment on Thursday. The results weren't spectacular, so James got a bili light later that afternoon.

Patric affectionately named him "our little alien" |
Thursday and Friday were somewhat recovery while we figured the little guy out, and then the Leuschke family came to visit for the weekend.

Then we spent some time with our baby gear.

And that's a recap of Week 1 with James.
